Einsteinium rewards first Epoch to cancer researcher Walter Moss.

The Einsteinium Foundation recently concluded voting for the first Epoch, an event that selects the recipient for funding advanced science with the cryptocurrency.

Epoch 1 voting resulted in Dr. Walter Moss winning for his research titled: Can viral molecular structures cause cancer?  The winner receives approximately 2% of all mined Einsteinium (or EMC2) which is set aside for scientific research.

Dr. Moss thanked the Einsteinium community directly and recently conducted an AMA (ask me anything) on the /r/science Reddit page to discuss his research.

I was lucky enough to win the vote for the very first Einsteinium Foundation award. This award will help fund my crowdfunding effort for my research on the connection between Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) molecular structure and cancer. Specifically, I am fundraising to get the money needed to begin determining the structures of EBV molecules that I recently discovered that have strong implications to tumor formation.

Submissions for the next epoch award can be made on the Einsteinium Foundation website directly and voting should take place in the coming months.
